Despite Rob Ford’s crack-cocaine admission, Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's core base of supporters — colloquially known as "Ford Nation" — appears to be standing by the mayor.
"People are happy with the balanced budgets. People are happy with the subways being back on the table," local business owner Neil Flagg told the CBC's Shannon Martin, reporting from an Etobicoke strip mall.
Another man said the mayor's substance-abuse problems don't concern him, so long as Ford can serve his constituents well.
"If he smokes and saves me money, I'll vote for him — even if he's a bum," he said.
