Coun. Rob Ford has returned to hospital for a second round of chemotherapy for tumours that are attached to his bladder.

Ford is also awaiting test results to determine how his treatment will proceed, according to a statement issued Thursday by the former mayor's chief of staff, Dan Jacobs.

A third round of chemo is scheduled to begin mid-December, the statement said.

No further details were provided.

Ford, 46, revealed last month that he had a newly-discovered growth on his bladder, which was found after he was hospitalized for several days with abdominal pain.

Earlier this month, Doug Ford revealed that his brother in fact has two tumours on his bladder.
