Calgary's Naheed Nenshi bets Toronto’s Rob Ford that the Stamps are best

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has accepted a friendly Grey Cup wager proposed by Naheed Nenshi, telling the Calgary mayor in a cheeky Twitter message Monday: "You’ll look great in Argo blue."

The Toronto Argonauts and Calgary Stampeders each won their division final games on the weekend and will square off for the CFL title Sunday at Toronto’s Rogers Centre in the 100th Grey Cup.

The online sparring between the two mayors began with a challenge issued Monday by Calgary’s mayor, who is active on Twitter. In a Twitter message, Nenshi proposed a wager in which the mayor of the losing city must donate his weight in food to a food bank located in the victor's city.

The losing mayor must also wear the opposing team’s jersey for an entire council meeting.

Ford, a sports fan who has been criticized for leaving council meetings to coach high school football, responded a few hours later by tweeting: "@nenshi I’ll take the bet. You'll look great in #Argo blue!"
