Consider it the basketball equivalent of Groundhog Day.

After an evenly matched first quarter, the Cleveland Cavliers' offence rolled over the Raptors sending the team back to Toronto with an 108-89 loss.

Game 2 of the NBA Eastern Conference Final followed the same script as its predecessor. Both saw the Raps' strong start snuffed out by halftime as all-star Kyle Lowry and other dependable players instead consistently missed easy shots.

Each ended with a wide gap in the score.

And LeBron James and his dominating offence did little to help their situation.

The Raps and coach Dwayne Casey have been frustrated, too, by the officiating. By the end, Toronto found themselves with 31 fouls to the Cavs' 16.

The teams will meet in Toronto for Game 3 on Saturday.
