Your guide to Toronto Pride Weekend road closures
Parades and a weekend-long street fair will shut down Church Street and surrounding areas
Pride month is coming to an end but not before an event-filled festival weekend takes over the streets.
A street fair will shut down Church Street from Carlton to Hayden streets starting tonight at 6 p.m. until early Monday morning.
The Trans March kicks off the weekend tonight starting at 7 p.m. The march will start at Church Street and continue along to Hayden Street and then over to Bloor Street. It will then move west on Bloor Street, south on Yonge Street and east on Carlton Street to Allan Gardens. Roads along the route will be closed until about 9:30 p.m.
The Pride and Remembrance Run is on Saturday. The run will take place along Wellesley Street between Jarvis Street and Queen's Park Circle, and Queen's Park between College and Bloor streets. Those roads will be closed from 8:30 a.m. until around noon.
The #RESIST Dyke March is also on Saturday. It begins at 2 p.m., starting at the intersection of Church and Hayden streets. It will move north to Bloor Street, west on Bloor Street, south on Yonge Street and east on Carlton Street to Allan Gardens. Roads affected will be closed from noon to 6 p.m.
On Sunday June 25 the Pride Parade kicks off at 2 p.m. at Bloor and Church streets, then running west on Bloor Street, south on Yonge Street and east on Dundas Street E. to Victoria Street. A number of roads in the area will be closed for periods between 8 a.m. to at least 7 p.m.
Some TTC routes will be affected by Pride festivities. Check out their website for information on service disruptions over the weekend. It's important to note there will be no service on Line 3 from McCowan to Kennedy stations all weekend due to scheduled track maintenance.
