Police say Adam Colucci, 35, killed in Vaughan hit and run Monday night

Police have identified a 35-year-old man who was killed following a hit-and-run in Vaughan late Monday.

Woodbridge resident was hit by a vehicle shortly after leaving Pinecrest Motel

York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden told reporters Tuesday night that Adam Colucci, 35, was the victim of a hit-and-run late Monday night in Vaughan.

Police have identified a 35-year-old man who was killed following a hit-and-run in Vaughan late Monday.

York Regional Police Const. Andy Pattenden said Tuesday night that Adam Colucci, a Woodbridge resident, was staying at Pinecrest Motel in the Highway 7 and Creditstone Road area shortly before he was hit.

Pattenden told reporters that Colucci walked out to the spot where he was struck at around 11:25 p.m. and that police "don't know what happened next."

Pattenden said police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area.

The major collision unit is investigating the fatal crash and police say they don't yet have a description of the vehicle that left the scene.

Autopsy results are expected as early as Wednesday morning, Pattenden said earlier Tuesday.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about what happened to call police.

"We believe people were in the area and saw what happened," Pattenden said. "We'd also like to speak with anyone who was in contact with Adam over the last three days."
