Police arrest 2 more men in connection with Brampton shooting

Peel police have arrested two more men in connection with a fatal shooting near Millstone Drive in Brampton in August, bringing the total number of accused persons to three.

Peel police have arrested two more men in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton in August, bringing the total number of accused persons to three. 

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway of a residential area on Millstone Drive in Brampton on Aug. 30, they said at the time. When they arrived, they found a man dead in a vehicle who had been shot. 

Shortly before midnight on the same day, police arrested and charged a 23-year-old man from Brampton with first-degree murder, according to a news release from Sept. 2. 

In a news release Saturday, police said they have charged a 21-year-old man from Brampton with manslaughter in connection with the shooting. 

An 18-year-old man from Brampton has also been charged with manslaughter. He was a youth at the time of the incident, police said. 

Both men were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. 

Police are not releasing the identity of the victim at the family's request, they said.
