Peacock that escaped High Park Zoo still on the loose
Bird spotted at 9 a.m. after it spent Friday night in a residential tree
The peacock that escaped from High Park Zoo is still on the loose Saturday morning in Parkdale.
The large, brilliantly-coloured bird was spotted on a roof at around 9 a.m. on Galley Avenue, near Sorauren Avenue.
The peacock spent Friday night in a tree — its second night in a residential tree in one week — after evading animal control officials Friday evening, jumping from rooftop to rooftop in Parkdale.

The bird moved northward after it was spotted Saturday morning.
At one point, Toronto police were on scene, but have since left. Animal Services is not actively pursing the bird.
What if we never catch the peacock? Have we considered that? Are we prepared?
