The details of the tentative agreement reached Nov. 2 between the Elementary Teachers Association of Ontario and the province have not yet been released. The proposed deal came after teachers and support staff had been without a contract since August 2014.
The teachers' union had been ramping up a work-to-rule campaign, which recently included abandoning extra-curricular activities and filling in report cards.
Premier Kathleen Wynne had threatened to dock the pay of employees who did not complete all their work, but an agreement was reached before that happened.
