A man has been charged for an online post that offered free beer to anyone who threw eggs or tomatoes at Toronto Mayor Rob Ford ahead of last Friday's Ford Fest.

The 37-year-old man faces a charge of counselling an uncommitted indictable offence.

Police did not reveal the name of the website, but a news released describe the site as Toronto-based.

Held Friday in Scarborough's Thomson Memorial Park, Ford Fest drew about 1,500 people.

Ford apologized after a group of his supporters clashed with LGBT protesters at the event.
