A Newmarket woman has been charged with allegedly shooting a pellet-gun at people as they played Pokemon Go on Saturday.

A Newmarket woman has been charged with allegedly shooting a pellet-gun at people as they played Pokemon Go on Saturday.
York Regional Police say they responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. that a woman was firing at the mobile app players near Main Street South and Water Street.

Witnesses told police that they saw the woman shooting from the rooftop of an apartment building. Officers found her inside of one of the apartment's units and seized the pellet gun.
Police say at least four shots were fired at the Pokemon Go players, but no one was hit or injured in the incident.
The 29-year-old woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
