Then the Blue Jays starter did something he's been doing since he picked up a baseball: he proved everyone wrong. Through hours of rehab he returned in time to play a crucial role in the Toronto Blue Jays' playoff run.
As Stroman's father Earl tells CBC's Nick Purdon in this feature, his son has spent much of his life proving critics wrong, including those who thought he was too short to play baseball.
