Toronto police are hunting for at least one suspect after a brazen daylight shooting inside a Scarborough barber shop.

A man in his 30s was shot several times inside the Cut Creator barber shop at 31 Tapscott Road in the Malvern Town Centre, at about 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Const. Tony Vella said police rushed to the scene and found the victim without vital signs inside the shop.

It is the city's fifth homicide of the year.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are looking for at least one suspect who fled the scene.

"There could be more suspects involved in this case," Vella said. "He, or they, are considered armed and dangerous."

Vella said police are asking anyone with any information on the case to come forward.
