Raptors fans erupted on Twitter partway through Game 3 against the Cavaliers when an on-court scuffle knocked down LeBron James.

Knocked him down far too easily, fans insisted.

It all started late in the second quarter when Toronto's Bismack Biyombo didn't get a foul call, despite clearly getting hacked across the wrist by Tristan Thompson. There was a scuffle, during which DeMarre Carroll appeared to shove James.

Cleveland's star forward staggered backwards across the court, landing on his behind.

But it turned out the blow was, in fact, a stray elbow from James' own teammate — Thompson.

Toronto fans roundly accused James of taking a dive, especially once they'd gone over the video.

#FlopGate and variations — including #LeFlop — soon appeared in the online mix.

Many alluded to this week's "Elbowgate" controversy in Parliament.

Others suggested James is ready for bigger things, either in acting...

... or other sports.
