Jose Reyes arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife
The former Toronto Blue Jays shortstop, now playing in Colorado, was arrested in Maui
Former Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes was arrested for domestic abuse in Maui after allegedly assaulting his wife on Halloween, according to Hawaii News Now.
Maui police say in a statement that Reyes' wife was treated by medics at the scene then transported to a hospital for treatment.
Reyes was issued a warning citation to have no contact with his wife for three days after the arrest on Oct. 31.

—@ChelseaDavisHNNReyes was sent to the Colorado Rockies for Troy Tulowitzki as part of a blockbuster deal in July ahead of the trade deadline. Reyes began his stint in Toronto in 2012 following another big deal, involving the Miami Marlins.
The 32-year-old Reyes posted $1,000 in bond and was released.
The Rockies responded to the allegations in a statement on Twitter overnight, saying they "were extremely disappointed and concerned to learn of the allegations involving Jose Reyes."
The team also wrote that it will deal with the matter in accordance with Major League Baseball's new joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy introduced in August.
