I was there in '93: Man recalls doling out free pizza to Blue Jays revellers
'All of College Street and Little Italy erupted'
Aron Harris reluctantly went into work at a College Street pizzeria on Oct. 23, 1993.
"Like most people in Toronto, I was entirely swept up with the Jays postseason."

So he was not pleased to learn he would be working in the evening instead of his usual day shift.
"No surprise — it was one of the busiest nights I had ever seen."
Harris said the restaurant was "so slammed with making food and serving food," so much so he missed Joe Carter's game-winning home run.
"I had to wait for the replay but the entire place erupted in cheers," he said.
"Not too long after that, all of College Street and Little Italy erupted."
After seeing the revellers fill the streets, Harris's boss said "'let's start making pizzas and we're going to go out into the street and hand out free pizza to everyone celebrating."
"So that's what we did."
