Up your camp cuisine with this Chinese hot pot recipe
Use your favourite ingredients to make hot pot, camper says
Hot dogs are go-to camp fare but Teresa Chan often cooks up hot pot to savour and share at one of her favourite campgrounds Rouge Park.
Watch Chan cook hot pot alongside Metro Morning's Matt Galloway.
Teresa Chan fell in love with camping after going through Parks Canada's Learn to Camp initiative, which teaches families the basics of camping. She now works with youth who have recently come to Canada and encourages them to try camping as well.
Chan enjoys preparing hot pot in the wilderness and says it can be a "very creative" dish.
She says there is no fixed recipe for hot pot as "it has a lot of varieties, depending on our tastes and [the] seasons." But she's offered up one to try on your next camping trip.
