Grey Cup celebrations cause weekend road closures

As the 100th Grey Cup celebrations take over Toronto this weekend, there are quite a few road closures.

 As the 100th Grey Cup celebrations take over the city this weekend, there are quite a few road closures.

All road closures and restrictions are currently in effect until 5 a.m. Monday.

  • Front Street is closed between University Avenue and John Street.
  • John Street is closed between Wellington Street and Front Street.
  • Front Street between Blue Jays Way and John Street is restricted to local traffic.
  • Simcoe Street is also closed between Wellington Street and Front Street.

Additional Sunday closures

The CFL Fan March parade will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Varsity Stadium at the University of Toronto. 

The parade will travel eastbound on Bloor Street and then turn south onto Yonge Street. It will then go west on Queen Street and then south down York Street to turn west on King Street.

The fans will march south on University Avenue and finish on Front Street.

The game, featuring the Toronto Argonauts and the Calgary Stampeders, begins at 6 p.m. Sunday.
