Get on stage at Massey Hall with new Google Maps feature
Google Street View now includes inside of 50 Canadian parks and cultural institutions
Normally, Google users would go to Google Maps to find directions to Massey Hall, the century-old concert venue in downtown Toronto. Now the search company is letting users navigate almost right to their seat using its maps site.
Google Street View now goes directly into Massey Hall, even giving its users an interactive view from the stage.
It's part of a rollout of more than 50 new Canadian destinations.
Google teamed up with Parks Canada to capture images from national parks across the country, as well as with cultural institutions like Massey Hall.
For instance, users can see low tide at Hopewell Rocks in the Bay of Fundy, Niagara Falls from the Maid of the Mist, the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and others.
Locally, Street View users can peek inside places like the Princess of Wales Theatre and the Ontario Science Centre.
