I was crying non-stop. I couldn't stay in my apartment by myself.- Elvis Fraser, Eaton Centre shooting witness
On June 2, 2012, Fraser took his daughter shopping at the Eaton Centre. The pair was in the food court when Husbands opened fire, hitting Nixon Nirmalendran and Ahmed Hassan. Hassan died on the scene, while Nirmalendran succumbed to his injuries days later.
His daughter called 911, while Fraser tried to comfort the wounded Nirmalendran.
Fraser said in court that after the shooting his "nervous system was shot. I was crying non-stop. I couldn't stay in my apartment by myself."
Other witnesses to the shooting will testify over the next several days.
