Two drivers got into a verbal argument at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Barrie, Ont., which drew the attention of the police after one man nudged the other driver's vehicle on Sunday morning.

Barrie police say they were called to a McDonald’s restaurant on Dunlop Street shortly before 3 a.m.

When police got to the scene, officers say they spoke to a 25-year-old Barrie man who had "decided to nudge" the other vehicle "to make his point," according to a release. He was soon placed under arrest for impaired driving.

The man was taken to a police station and given breath tests, which allegedly showed him with a blood-alcohol limit that was nearly twice the legal limit, police say.

The accused was later released and is due to appear in court in February.
