Cocaine found in pocket of jacket at Value Village

A Brampton man got more than he bargained for when he bought a jacket at a local Value Village store over the weekend.

Police determined there was about $250 worth of cocaine in vintage jacket

A Brampton, Ont., man got more than he bargained for when he bought a jacket at a local Value Village store over the
weekend.

Gerry O'Brien says that as he was walking back to his car yesterday afternoon he reached into a pocket of the jacket and
pulled out two small packets containing what police later determined to be about $250 worth of cocaine.

O'Brien says he was shocked, and wonders what might have happened had his young daughter been the one to find the drugs.

Police said they'll be following up with store officials, but admit that tracing the jacket back to its previous owner would be
nearly impossible.

Just days earlier a bag of marijuana was found inside a toy bought at a Target in Brampton. That incident also remains under investigation.
