The first tickets for a Blue Jays World Series appearance that may never happen were snapped up by fans in less than an hour this morning.
Tickets for the series — which the Blue Jays will reach only if they can win their next two games against the Royals in Kansas City — went on sale online at 10 a.m. A tweet from the team's official account 46 minutes later said there were gone.
There may be a few tickets available at a later date, said the Blue Jays, who encouraged fans via Twitter to "check back frequently as releases are always happening."

Many fans turned to Twitter to express their frustration at buying tickets for the potential seven-game series. While some reported success, many complained they never moved up in the online queue to buy seats.

The Blue Jays must win Game 6 Friday and then a Game 7 on Saturday to make it to the World Series. The Jays trail the Royals in the American League Championship Series 3-2. Fans will have their money refunded if the Blue Jays fail to get past the Royals.
Ace pitcher David Price will take the hill for the Jays Friday night, looking for his first post-season win. The Royals will start Yordano Ventura.
