Toronto Blue Jays' fans were charged up for the team's first trip to the playoffs in 22 years, but left disappointed after a 5-3 loss in the American League Division Series opener against the Texas Rangers.

Tomorrow is a new day — the attitude Jays fans are adopting

Toronto Blue Jays' fans were charged up for the team's first trip to the playoffs in 22 years, but left Rogers Centre disappointed after a 5-3 loss in the American League Division Series opener against the Texas Rangers.

But the glass is half-full, fans say: there is always tomorrow — Game 2 gets underway at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.

Though understandably disappointed, fans brushed off the defeat as jitters.

Heartbreak during the mid-afternoon game was at its height when Josh Donaldson left in the fourth inning with an injury.

The Jays later said the third baseman "cleared concussion tests and will be re-evaluated tomorrow."

And then Jose Bautista was taken out of the game.

But there was that glorious, first post-season homer. So we have that.
