Three Occupy Toronto protesters were arrested Wednesday morning when they tried to pitch a tent in one of the city's parks.
Toronto police warned the protesters of a City of Toronto bylaw prohibiting camping in public spaces before making the arrests.
Police allowed protesters to stay the night in the park near Front Street West and John Street, as long as no structures were put up.
A spokesperson for the protesters said they chose Simcoe Park because its across the street from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre where Barrick Gold will hold its annual general meeting later this morning.
Police say as long the demonstrations remain peaceful people won't be asked to leave.
