Candidates and voters were growing frustrated by the time results in Thunder Bay's election started coming after 9:30.

"I've learned how to keep calm, but my hands are sweating right now," incumbent Keith Hobbs said, just after 8 p.m. as he began waiting for results to come in.

Some polls stayed open until 8:30 to accommodate long line-ups of people. That delayed results until after 9:30 p.m. and frustrated many, including Hobbs.

"It's a horrible process and it needs to be fixed," he said of the long wait for vote tallies.

Some voters tweeted their frustration.
