Thunder Bay police back from Ottawa, investigation ongoing
Majority of University of Ottawa hockey players cooperate with sexual assault investigation: police
Thunder Bay police have returned from Ottawa, where they were conducting interviews with players and staff from the University of Ottawa men's hockey team about an alleged sexual assault.
The incident allegedly took place on the weekend of Feb. 1, when Lakehead University's men's hockey team hosted the Ottawa team for a pair of games in Thunder Bay.
Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service, as well as the Thunder Bay detachment of the RCMP, had travelled to Ottawa earlier this month.

A police statement released Thursday stated that officers had conducted interviews with "a majority" of players from the Ottawa team, and that police were grateful for the cooperation of the Ottawa Police Service and the University of Ottawa.
"Unfortunately, a number of players chose not to speak to police," the statement continued.
Police say the investigation continues, and ask anyone with information about the alleged incident to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service, Ottawa police or Crime Stoppers.
