Time-lapse photography shows the Oct. 8th lunar eclipse from Marina Park

A photographer in Thunder Bay took these photos of the 'blood moon' from Marina Park early Wednesday morning.

Victor Chimenti said it was a challenging shoot because of the one-hour window to catch the changing light on the moon.

"I shot four different angles with four different lenses," the 21-year-old said. "You've got a limited time to shoot, no time to play around."

It's the first time the self-described 'up-and-coming' photographer has attempted to shoot a lunar eclipse.

Chimenti said he didn't catch the full eclipse, when the moon goes completely dark, but was happy to have captured the full moon turning red.

He recently launched Costal Productions, a video and photography company with a focus on time-lapse photography.

"My whole live I've really admired time-lapse," he said.
