Thunder Bay city councillors hearing budget ideas
City councillors will spend much of Tuesday night's meeting getting feedback from the community concerning the proposed 2015 municipal budget.
City councillors will spend much of Tuesday evening's meeting meeting hearing the community's ideas for the proposed 2015 municipal budget.
Administration has proposed a 6.3% tax increase. There are two options provided by administration to lower the tax hike to roughly 4.5%.
One of the groups scheduled to make a presentation is Poverty Free Thunder Bay. The group said it has concerns with a proposal to increase transit fares.
Another pitch will come from residents of the Townline Road area, asking council to approve money to chip-seal the road.
