It's not often that the Hollywood film industry comes north, but a production has been filming in the Sault Ste. Marie area that has strong connections to northwestern Ontario.

Actor Kevin Durand who was born in Thunder Bay, is a character in the film Mean Dreams.

Film producers hired trapper Tom McClelland to teach Durand some bush lessons for his role in the movie.
