Thunder Bay police are investigating another hotel robbery in the city, this one on Monday night.

Police said the Nor'Wester was robbed just before midnight on July 14. There was a similar robbery at the Airlaine early Sunday morning.

At the Nor'Wester, police said a lone male armed with a knife, and a can of what's being described as bear spray, went into the hotel and demanded money,

The suspect then jumped over the counter and took money from the cash drawers, according to police.

Police are working with local hotels to provide more information for the safety of employees and say they will be increasing patrols.
