Missing boy, 17, found safe after abduction, Thunder Bay police say

A 17-year-old boy is safe in Thunder Bay on Monday after being abducted, police say. Two men have been arrested.

A 17-year-old boy is safe in Thunder Bay on Monday after being abducted, police say.

The boy was initially reported missing by police after last being seen on Saturday in the area of Tupper Street and Court Street N. at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Late Monday afternoon police issued a news release saying the teen had been located and two men were arrested.

"Officers observed the male being removed from a pickup truck on Pruden Street just after 2:30 p.m.," the release said. "Two other males in the truck fled the scene and were later arrested a short time later in the vicinity of the 200 block of Finlayson Street."

Police say no further information about the incident or the investigation will be released until Tuesday.
