Hockey Canada boss Tom Renney to meet with officials in Thunder Bay
Top executive to discuss sport with northwestern Ontario officials
Tom Renney, the president and chief executive officer of Hockey Canada, will be in Thunder Bay this weekend for Hockey Northwestern Ontario's fall president's meeting.
The head of the national governing body of hockey will also be dropping the puck ahead of the Friday night showdown between the Lakehead Thunderwolves and Nipissing Lakers at 7 p.m. at the Fort William Gardens.
Renney announced plans to address the minor and junior hockey delegates and presidents from northwestern Ontario on Saturday. He is also set to take part in the meeting and speak with coaches involved in the introduction to coaching clinic.

The former National Hockey League head coach was in Toronto on Thursday after the body decided to name two-time Olympic gold medal winner Mike Babcock as head coach of the Canadian team for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The event takes place next September in Toronto.
Renney, 60, took over for former Hockey Canada top executive Bob Nicholson last July.
