Don't demolish Fort William Gardens, Thunder Bay consultants say
Fort William Gardens should have its ice surface and spectator seating removed but the building should be preserved, say consultants hired by the city of Thunder Bay.
Fort William Gardens should have its ice surface and spectator seating removed, but the building should be preserved, say consultants hired by the city of Thunder Bay.
In a report headed for a council meeting Monday night the consultants with CEI Architects recommend reworking the building so it can be used for broad range of activities, instead of individual events.
Before that happens, however, the consultants say the Gardens should continue to operate as a sports and entertainment complex until, a decision is made on the new event and convention centre proposed for the city.
