A COVID-19 outbreak at Thunder Bay's Hogarth Riverview Manor has been declared over.

The outbreak was declared on May 2, when one staff member at the long-term care facility tested positive for COVID-19.

However, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 in other staff members, or residents, at Hogarth Riverview Manor since the outbreak was declared, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph's Care Group, which runs Hogarth, stated Friday in a media release.

Provincial policy states an outbreak must be declared if one staff member or resident in a long-term care home tests positive for COVID-19.
