A Thunder Bay man has identified as the victim of a fatal accident on Highway 17 near Ignace Sunday night.

A Thunder Bay man has been identified as the victim of a fatal accident on Highway 17 near Ignace late Sunday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said the man was driving a car that was struck by an oncoming pickup truck, when the westbound pickup crossed into the eastbound lane.
The identity of the 32-year-old victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The man's two-year-old daughter was airlifted to Winnipeg for treatment of her injuries.
OPP said the 69-year-old driver of the pickup and a 17-year-old passenger, both from Hawkestone, Ont., were taken to Dryden hospital.
The accident forced the complete closure of the Trans-Canada Highway for about seven hours, until one lane was re-opened early Monday morning.
