Former TV boss hired to push New Sudbury events centre
Scott Lund tapped to lead development of New Sudbury entertainment district
The Sudbury Wolves Sports and Entertainment group has named former CTV vice president and general manager Scott Lund as their chief executive officer.
Lund was with CTV Northern Ontario since 1997, but was laid off during a round of cuts in February.
He currently chairs Science North and Cinéfest, Sudbury's international film festival.

In a press release issued by SWSE today, Lund laid out his priorities.
"We are looking at co-locating an event centre as part of an entertainment district sparking an entire development," Lund said.
"It will include the new casino resort, new hotels, convention centre space, restaurants, all-weather fieldhouse, motor sports park and the relocated Carmichael Arena, all this while diversifying the economy and strengthening our quality of life."
SWSE owner Dario Zulich said he's confident Lund brings leadership that will propel the organization to the next level of success.
"Scott brings the experience, energy and passion needed for the further development and execution of the strategy to achieve our vision," Zulich stated in a press release.
"His management style is the opposite of mine, therefore complementary."
SWSE said Lund takes over June 5.
