While many northern Ontario fans cheer on Team Canada in Olympic hockey, people in Garden River First Nation, near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., are also following Team Latvia.

That's because one of its own, Ted Nolan, is coaching the Latvian team.

"We're cheering for Ted. We want Ted to do the best,” Garden River Chief Lyle Sayers said. "Certainly we're cheering for Canada ... [but] wherever we go, we talk about Ted."

Nolan is also the head coach for the Buffalo Sabres.
