Sudbury police seek witnesses in Mountain St. home invasion
Two men in hospital with serious injuries following home invasion
Sudbury Police are seeking the public’s assistance after two men were seriously injured in a home invasion on Mountain Street early this morning.
Police were called to the home at about 3 a.m.
Staff Sergeant Dan Despatie said two men have injuries considered serious but non-life threatening.
“They’re at Health Sciences North seeking treatment at this point,” he said. “We’re actively investigating the matter.”
Despatie said the two injured men did live in the home where the invasion happened, and added police believe this is an isolated incident.
Anyone with information is asked to phone police or Crime Stoppers.
Last week, police announced they were investigating the death of Russell Plume, 53, also of Mountain Street. His death was later determined to be accidental.
Despatie said the two cases are not related.
