Provincial police are investigating the death of a man in a snowmachine collision 25 kilometers north of Hagar Saturday.

OPP said a group of three snowmobilers were travelling on a groomed trail when the lead machine went off the trail and hit a tree. A 47-year-old Sturgeon Falls man died in the accident. He had recently moved from the Windsor area.
Officers said it was snowing at the time of the incident and speed was a factor.
A post-mortem was to take place on Monday in Sudbury.
