Customized tractors plow their way through Sudbury's snow
A new business is using tractors customized with specialized equipment to tackle Sudbury's snowbanks.
A new business is using tractors customized with specialized equipment to tackle Sudbury's snowbanks.
"On the back [of the tractor] we have a big inverted snow plow ... coated with Teflon tips," said Simon Graham, one of the owners of the company known as Snowsquad.
"So, if it is on interlock or pavement ... it is a lot more gentle then a plow would be."
Snowsquad has purchased five tractors this year and hope to expand in the future, said Graham.
The customized tractors have been used in Ontario for decades, but hasn't made its way north until now, he added.
