Serge Tessier, 33, dies in Hwy 144 crash

Ontario Provincial Police have released the name of the man killed in a collision Wednesday on Highway 144 north of Sudbury.

OPP said on September 3, officers responded to the head-on crash at 7:20 a.m. on Highway 144 about a half-hour north of Onaping, at Sideburn Lake just north of Onaping Lake Road. 

Police said a car crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a tractor trailer.  

The driver of the car, Serge Tessier, 33, of Alban, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Police continue to investigate.
