Company worried about children falling off seats, banging heads, school official says

Buses were cancelled in Moosonee Tuesday — and not due to snow and ice. Buses were cancelled because of potholes.

This is the second time this has happened this year, said Janette Corston, principal at Moosonee Public School.

"There is concern that there's too much bouncing around and the children could fall off their seats or bang their heads," she said.

"So, for safety reasons as well, I believe that's why the busing company chose to withdraw their buses."

Schools were still open in Moosonee on Tuesday, however.
