OPP investigate Hwy 69 pedestrian fatality

OPP will try to piece together the details today of a pedestrian crash on Highway 69 last night that left a 64-year-old Sudbury man dead.

At about 8 p.m. Sunday, a north-bound tractor trailer struck the man at Southlane Road in Sudbury.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

OPP had one north-bound lane of Highway 69 closed for about five hours while the on-scene investigation was completed.

Eye witnesses are being interviewed and a post mortem exam will take place in Sudbury today.

Police called weather conditions at the time of the incident "excellent."
