Humane Society said man didn't comply with orders to get veterinary care for dog
A North Bay man has been found guilty of animal cruelty charges and banned from owning animals for 10 years.
The North Bay and District Humane Society says the man didn't comply with an order to seek veterinary care for his dog, which had become emaciated after eating a stone.
The humane society says the dog, which it seized, was brought to a veterinarian who found a stone, about three centimetres squared, blocking its digestive tract.
After emergency surgery, the dog recovered and has been adopted out to a different family.
