One of the two women who was injured in an apartment fire in Hanmer Monday afternoon has died.
The Children's Aid Society of Sudbury and Manitoulin sent out a news release Wednesday morning confirming it was one of their employees who died of her injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
The release said the woman was Nicole Belair, a child protection worker who worked with the agency for eight years. She was conducting a home visit with a client when a fire blazed through the 16-unit building.
Belair was 33-years-old.
The agency said Belair was surrounded by her friends and family in hospital when she passed away.
