An Interpaving Limited employee has been released from hospital after suffering injuries at a Sudbury worksite Tuesday morning.

The veteran employee injured his foot while operating an asphalt spreader at a site on Errington Avenue in Chelmsford, Interpaving management said. The injury involved bruising, but no bones were broken.

In 2015, Interpaving was charged in the death of 58-year-old Cecile Paquette at a construction site in downtown Sudbury.

The city has since banned Interpaving from bidding on municipal contracts, although the company is able to work as a sub-contractors for firms who successfully land city jobs.

A spokesperson for the company confirmed it was subcontracted to perform the work.

Ministry of Labour spokesperson Janet Deline told CBC News the ministry has issued one requirement to the employer to provide documentation. Deline said documentation could include employee records, equipment records or any kind of documents the ministry's inspector wants to see.

The investigation is ongoing.
