Former STC artistic director David Sherman-Savoy has died

David Sherman-Savoy died peacefully in his sleep this morning, according to a post on social media by his brother Jeff.

David Sherman-Savoy retired from the STC last year after being with the company since 2009. He left due to the progression of his multiple sclerosis. He was previously artistic director of both Showboat Theatre in Port Colborne and St. Lawrence Stage Company in Brockville, prior to joining STC. (Markus Schwabe/CBC)

Former Sudbury Theatre Centre Artistic Director David Sherman-Savoy died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning, according to a post on social media by his brother Jeff. "I know that he touched many of you and in return took great pride and pleasure in his friends," wrote Jeff on Facebook.
