2 teens die in head-on Hwy 11 crash on Sunday

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the two teenagers killed in a Valentine's Day car crash on Highway 11 in northeastern Ontario. 

Maxime Beaulac, 19, and Daniel Germain, 19, both from Armstrong township, died in the two-vehicle crash. 

Police said they were called to the scene about two hours north of North Bay, shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday.

The teens were travelling northbound when, according to OPP, they crossed the center line and drove into oncoming traffic, colliding with a tractor trailer.

The 59-year-old truck driver from Cobalt was not physically injured.

The teens were pronounced dead at the scene. 

Daniel Germain, 19, and Maxime Beaulac, 19, both from Armstrong, Ont., died in a head-on crash with a transport truck on Valentine's Day. Mourners on a Facebook memorial page to the victims are leaving tributes and messages to the young men: "Rip boys!! [W]ish we could have done that sled trip you guys wanted to do," wrote Brandon Lathem. (Facebook )
