A 27-year-old man was killed in Greater Sudbury's Chelmsford community when he was ejected from his vehicle after a rollover on Sunday.

Police said the man lost control while doing doughnuts in a field — a manoeuvre in which the rear of the vehicle rotates in a circular motion.

Neither the 27-year old driver nor the 21-year-old passenger were wearing seat-belts, and both were ejected from the vehicle due to the rollover.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Greater Sudbury police said the traffic management unit continues to investigate the single-vehicle crash.
